#20170601 - BE Computer Science 2nd year student from Chennai

With Aalayam's help in her second year of a B.E. degree, this student has now entered her third year of studies and has requested support for her fees. Her mother works as an attendant in the laboratory of a medical college, drawing a monthly salary of Rs. 4,500. The mother is the only one who brings income to the family. The student's father is an alcoholic and does not help the family. The student's brother, who has just completed his B.Com, is looking for employment. His education was partly funded by a local church.

The student has not scored very well in Computer Science. When asked for the reason, she explained that she had taken Biology during her Higher Secondary years but would work harder this year to improve her scores.

The family resides in a small house on a rent of Rs.3000 in a Chennai suburb. The student has said that she plans to offer tuitionto school students to raise money for book expenses.

Aalayam has approved Rs.32,000 for her third year fees.
